Check out our new caftan styles!

The Caftan -- A classic that's ideal for at-home or cruise wear -- and we went green and reduced the yardage requirements. This caftan in any dress length features elbow length sleeves, which may be made longer to ¾ or full length by adding the "sleeve" extension piece. Click sleeves, and adjust the length as desired. Made in lightweight silks, they flow and flit like a butterfly. Make the caftan any length and sew it quick to wear tonight.

The Caftan Blouse -- is geared for comfort -- and fast to make. Ideal in cotton/rayons/silkies or make it in a woolen to toss on for quick trips outdoors.

The Caftan Shrug -- can be worn in lieu of a sweater at the office in a stretch knit, or dressed up in devore velvet for evening wear. Let your imagination out.

The Caftanesque Robe -- Need a robe?  This one is so fast to make that you can sew several for gifts in one day. Use French terry or velour in cool climates; cottons or satins in warmer ones. You can add embellishments to dress it up. The full tie belt wraps right around you.

New Necklines!

The Floppy Turtleneck -- is a fitted stretch top with long sleeves and a nice large turtleneck that flops and drapes for a touch of elegance. The neck is more open than a classic turtleneck. Wear with slacks or skirts -- this will go anywhere. Like stretch sweater tops, the floppy turtleneck is a little loose; select semi-fit and adjust the stretch from 12% to 8%.

The Jersey Mock Turtleneck Shell -- sleeve as designed or make it sleeveless in a black slinky jersey or any other sleeve length you prefer. Designed as a moderate stretch knit with 12% stretch factor, you can loosen it right up to semi-fitted, if desired, with 8% stretch. The mock turtle is a high stand or band collar that's not as wide as a true turtleneck, while the base of the neck is closer fitting than a floppy turtleneck. Ideal for at home or office, wear it anywhere.

The Winter 2010 Collection -- also includes a new pleated neckline that has vertical pleats and is quick and easy to make up.

The Pleated Neck Nightgown -- defaults to just below the knee but can be made any length. It is sleeveless to wear all year long. I hand-dyed some stretch silk charmeuse to go with the devore satin bed jacket for the most elegant peignoir set I ever dreamed of. Make it in cotton or lingerie fabrics from batiste to flannel for an ultra-comfortable nightie.

The Pleated Neck Tee -- goes anywhere and is a little dressier than just a tee shirt. With 3 vertical pleats you can stitch down or leave as release tucks, it's designed as long sleeve, but you can change to any sleeve length. It is a standard fit with 8% horizontal stretch so, while fitted, it's not too close.

The Ballerina Princess -- is a fitted long sleeve, armhole princess style that's standard fit and may be worn with the optional belt. The ballerina neckline is perfect for showcasing jewelry or a wonderful silk scarf. The pattern is made for a woven lightweight wool, rayon, or blend.

The Bed Jacket -- can be so much more. Made up in a devore, satin or minky, it's ideal to wear at home for reading in bed, but with a touch of class. Make it in fabulous black velvet, line it and add sparkly crystals to wear out over an evening dress for New Year's Eve.

The Boy Friend Shirt -- has classic shirt styling with a classic yoke, long cuffed sleeves, chevron pocket and shirt tail hem. You can make it longer by adding up to 5 inches to the length, or looser fitting by changing the fit from semi-fitted to relaxed fit.

The Fold Over Track Pant -- This is as loose and casual as can be. The fold-over waist and Capri length are perfect for a weekend reading in bed or doing your morning exercises.

The Fold Over Waistband Skirt -- has to be made from stretch fabrics. This casual skirt is ideal for teens and ‘tweens.

The Keyhole Party Dress -- is a classic for the holidays. Made in a fine satin, stretch velvet or dupioni, it's sure to wow with its fitted sheath lines and keyhole opening at the neck.

The Long Knit Cardigan -- I'm in love with this wide, gently pointed wing collar that tends to drape when it's not heavily interfaced. In fact, if you have a double sided knit you can simply finish the edge and not face it. Worn with a belt, this mid-thigh sweater knit or stretch velour can go anywhere.

The One Shoulder Party Dress -- is a fitted one shoulder dress ready to accept bling. I see it in a midnight blue with silver crystals sprinkled on the fitted bodice. Great for holiday parties or clubbing with a shorter skirt, or make it full-length and add a rectangular velvet or faux fur shawl for "the" winter wedding.

The Pleated Princess -- isn't a pleated neck -- it's a shoulder princess disappearing into abdomen level pleats for a little dimension and fullness to the skirt. Rayon blends or woolens, especially light-weights like challis, would be ideal. This one goes to church, concerts or just out for dinner with classic style.

The Princess Jacket -- has a disappearing line into pockets. It is classic, fitted and can be worn as a suit with a matching skirt or pants.

The Quick Robe -- is fun and quick to make. It is a derivative of an elbow length batwing sleeve, has a short side seam tie belt, roomy pockets and a square neckline. You can lounge in this one all day. Adjust the sleeve length as desired. You can also slip elastic into the hem band casing, if desired, to snug up the sleeve hem. Flannel, velour, or terry is ideal.

The Riding Jacket -- is a hip-length classic, but we updated it with a deep lapel. You can always add a little length, if desired, using the options length menu. Linings and facings are included. Don't forget to interface the lapels and collars.

Selma's Denim Jacket -- All our wonderful testers always give lots of input. This is Selma's carefully crafted design and named for her. It is an armhole princess classic denim jacket with waistband, chevron pockets and flaps. Looks fantastic in denim, but also looks great in ultra suede or pleather.

The Pencil Skirt -- As seen on the fall runways.

The Sweater Vest -- is a mid-thigh long, semi-fitted, sleeveless vest with a wide wing collar that drapes over most of the front. You can belt it or leave it open to wear with slacks or a skirt. Any stretch knit would work.

The Wrap Knit Tunic -- finishes to a deep vee neckline and wraps to the side. It is semi-fitted with 8% stretch factor ready for most sweater knits or jersey. Wear it belted, and add inseam pockets from the extras menu if desired.
