Spring & Summer 2005 Collection 

NOTE: This collection was discontinued and the patterns in it were combined with the also discontinued Spring 2006 Collection to form the current "Spring and Summer Collection". If you own the "Spring and Summer Collection", then you already own these patterns.

It does not matter if you are brand new to Dress Shop or a very long term user. These patterns are ready to use as is and are modern and up to date!!

You DON’T HAVE to know how to use every tool to get 2005 Spring & Summer Styling and fit!

If you have juniors / teens or a college bound student you sew for - the new Very Close and Close fit levels are certain to be a hit!

There is something for everyone in this broad collection of garments that will provide you top fashion that is ready to select - print and sew now.

Tweens to great grandma’s can find something wonderful to add to their summer wardrobe.

The Spring Collection offers a number of new tools, features, 55 great new patterns and even new “fit levels.”

Included in this collection is the new close fit option which adjusts these patterns to form fit, with essentially no ease. It is suitable for fabrics with 25% to 50% stretch. There are also very close fit patterns (stretch to fit) which work best with knits with 50% to 100% stretch factor. A fabric usage guideline is included to help you find the best fabric for each of these new patterns.

A new side bust dart option is added with this collection. The "Elegant Side Dart" is angled down just enough so that the top dart leg is level with the bust, keeping the dart away from the armscye and providing a more elegant shape to your patterns bust darting.

New design features include pleats, godets and vents, which users can apply to a variety of blouses, dresses, jackets, tunics and nightwear. These design features emphasize a vertical line and allow ease where needed without adding extra width. Extended godets (teardrop shaped and pointed) are new options and the pleat / vent / godet tool now includes many more options for placement of these versatile style elements.

New patterns include extras such as weskit and bolero styles, princess raglan patterns, princess halter patterns, hanky princess patterns, hanky gored patterns, and a variety of tank and cami necklines.

The Spring Collection includes illustrated assembly instructions and construction tips to insure you get the best results with your new tools and features.
