If you have come up with something creative while using Dress Shop, you can share it with other Dress Shop users. And, you can choose to take full credit for your originality, or remain anonymous, as you prefer. Simply follow these steps: 1. From within Dress Shop, save your pattern. Try to give it a descriptive name that might mean something to others. 2. Check out your design with several other measurement sets to be sure it will work for many. We would recommend checking with Misses Size 2 and Women's Size 40 at least. 3. If your pattern seems stable across many measurement sets, send the following items to Patterns@livingsoftnw.com. If you are unsure what any of these items should look like, please see the patterns currently being offered on these pages for examples. a. The saved pattern file. You can find this in your DS5/MyPatterns folder. b. A description of the pattern. This can be provided in a text file, a Word document, a Works document, or in the email. Please do not use any other formats. c. Sewing or assembly instructions. Text only is ok, but pictures help if you can supply them. Adobe Acrobat files, Word files, Works files, or separate text and saved digital pictures can be used. Kaaren Hoback has volunteered to take the photos and text instructions and turn them into the Adobe Acrobat files (PDF format) that are easier to share. So, just send what you can and she will assemble the document that users will get. d. A picture of the resulting garment. Optional, but strongly recommended if at all possible so people that are curious will have a better idea what they will be getting if they choose to download it. e. A picture of yourself. (Completely optional) f. A short biography of yourself (Also completely optional)
